任天堂FC游戏主机，又被称为“红白机”，是任天堂公司发行的第一代家用游戏机。它在1983年推出，直到2003年停产，全球出货量达到了6291万台。FC游戏主机上推出了许多经典游戏，如魂斗罗、坦克大战、忍者龙剑传和超级玛丽等。这款主机的推出奠定了近代电玩产业的体制，使任天堂成为了现代游戏产业的重要参与者。
FC游戏主机的推出背景是美国ATARI公司在1977年推出了ATARI CVS游戏主机，至1982年雅达利大崩溃前夜累计销售了1500万台。山内溥对ATARI CVS粗劣的声像表现力评价颇低。因此，山内溥决定全力进军这个潜力巨大的市场，并对上村雅之下达了指令：“开发出一款其他厂商至少一年内无法模仿的家用游戏主机！”新主机就是后来的FC游戏主机。
